I've been teaching for over twenty years. Currently, I teach undergraduate learning, design, and technology courses at The University of Georgia. Before that I was a system-level technology coordinator in a metro Atlanta school system. Many years ago I was a 6th grade science teacher in a rural school in northeast Georgia.
What does your ideal school or classroom look like?
I am incredibly fortunate to be teaching in my ideal classroom and I try hard to never take it for granted. I have a large amount of autonomy over what and how I teach. I get to work with a groups of engaged learners who enjoy experiential learning. I can teach wherever I want - in my assigned classroom, at a local elementary school, or in the middle of campus when the weather permits. I work with colleagues who are in constant pursuit of teaching excellence.
